Kollegala: Accidents on the National Highway 948 near Naripura-Sategala villages of the taluk are increasing day by day and suitable measures will be taken soon to prevent this, MLA of Hanur Assembly Constituency said. R. Manjunath said.

In view of the increasing number of accidents on National Highway 948 from Naripura village to Sattegala Bypass Road in the taluk, Hanur MLA R Manjunath and District Collector Shilpanag visited and inspected the places where accidents occur in Naripura Circle and Sattegala Bypass Circle.

At this time, according to the request of the villagers and farmer leaders, electric lights will be constructed on the highways, road blocks will be constructed at the places where accidents happen and service roads will be constructed on both sides to allow the local people to travel by road. And MLA MR Manjunath and District Collector Shilpanath said that highway authorities have been instructed to install lights along the highway.

Sub-Divisional Officer Dilip Kumar Meena, Tehsildar Basavaraju, National Highways Authority officials NH Charulata Jain, Vishwa T.Pm EO Gurushanthappa Bellundagi, Cesc AEE Raju, Satyagala villagers and farmer leaders were present.
