Kollegala: Without the consent of the owners of Devanga Maha Sabha, only one group claimed to celebrate the historical Choudeshwari Amma's Katthi festival, whose decision was opposed by everyone including the chief owner of Kollegala Devanga, and the Katri festival, which was intended to be held in the month of February 2026, has been postponed, according to A.N. Nagarajaiah, the owner of the Devanga community.
The owner of the Devanga clan said this in a press conference called on Monday at the Rajarajeshwari Kalyana Mandap in Kollegala town.
If you want to celebrate the Katthihabba of the historical Sri Choudeshwari Amma, there are certain rituals and rituals from the past. But because a few leaders violated all that and came forward to celebrate the festival of swords, all the clan held a meeting and took a unanimous decision and the festival was postponed.
Sri Choudeshwari Amma has devotees in the state, country and abroad. No one should even donate. He said that in the next few days the date of Katthihabba celebration will be fixed after getting everyone's consent.
The press conference was attended by leaders such as Devanga Srinivas, Niranjan Ravi, AP Shankar, Sundaresh, Sundrappa Kanakaraju, CV Babu, etc.
