Construction of the school building has not been possible due to the ongoing case in the court regarding the land of the government school in Peddanapally village of Hanur taluk. Also, since August 11, parents stopped sending their children to school due to non-availability of drinking water and toilet facilities.
On August 14, district level officials such as GPAM CEO Mona Roth, DDPI Ramachandraraje Aras, Tehsildar Chaitra, BEO Gurulingaiah and Tapam EO Umesh visited the village and inspected the situation. Although a promise was made to solve the problem, the dissatisfaction of the parents continued as there was no clear decision.
On Wednesday, SDMC President Paramesh told District Collector C.T. He met Shilpanag and submitted a request to solve the problem. On this occasion, the Collector assured that necessary steps will be taken to resolve the case in court and the rooms will be temporarily repaired.
Out of total 62 students, 50 children are present.
