Kollegala. A massive protest march was taken out on Thursday by the taluk right-wing communities' union to condemn the injustice of internal reservation.

The fighters who had gathered at MGSV ground in the town protested through Bus Stand Road, Dr. Vishnu Road, Dr. Raj Road, Dr. Ambedkar Road shouting slogans of defiance against the government. In the procession, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, ministers HC Mahadevappa, Parameshwar and retired Justice Nagmohan Das were slapped with shoes.
Some protestors said that the majority of the Scheduled Castes in the country were deprived of education, jobs and powers for centuries. B.R. Ambedkar said that due to his constant struggle, limited progress in education and employment has been possible in just one-two generations.
However, he alleged that casteists and communalists are trying to exclude the right-wing castes from the reservation in the name of internal reservation. He lashed out at the JDS, BJP and Congress governments who ruled the state for the present situation.
Sub-divisional officer Dinesh Kumar gave a request letter to Meena to deliver it to the government demanding the fulfillment of several rights.
